General characteristics

InfraHEAT – Highest quality at a reasonable price!

Due to their small electricity consumption, up to 800W, and their operation modality (heating first the walls, ceiling, floor), the infrared heating panels are suitable only for well insulated premises.

The heated area provided in the product descriptions is calculated for heating losses 40-60 W/m2, i.e. – for premises with at least 6-8 cm EPS on the outer walls, insulated floor and ceiling, and heated adjacent premises in order to avoid losses also via the middle walls.

When the premises are partly insulated, for example 5 cm EPS on the outer walls, quality window frames, gypsum boards + rockwool on some of the middle walls or ceiling, then the heating losses are in the range of 70-90-110 W/m2. In these cases, the heating panel should have a higher heating capacity if it is to be used as the main heating source.

The infrared heating panels are about 30% more economical than convection radiators and air-conditioners. The savings compared to oil radiators or hot air fan heaters is about 50%.

A partial solution to reduce heat losses and to improve the thermal stability of the premises is to use insulation paint instead of normal paint for the ceiling/walls and/or to use metallic wallpapers.

Insulation via painting with thermoceramic paints:

Your dwelling/office is not insulated but you would like to take advantage of the efficient infrared heating? The thermoceramic paints SuperShield are one easy solution! After painting with SuperShield, the paint acts as insulation comparable to 2 cm EPS. Furthermore, the thermoceramic paints reflect the heating rays back into the premises, increasing the efficiency of the infrared heating. You may read more about this option here.
